BLUE AND SILVER CHRISTMAS TABLE DECOR
Christmas has always been and will always be a magical time to me. I’m not religious at all; it’s that festive buzz in the air and being surrounded by family that I love, also my sister’s birthday is on Christmas Eve so our family has an extra reason to celebrate. Thinking back, we were always doing something creative together during the December holidays. Crafting new decorations or decking the house out in existing ones, cooking and baking treats or making up and wrapping pretty presents – there was constantly music and mischief at play and not a clear surface to be found in our house!
One of my favourite things to do when I was little was to help decorate and set the Christmas table. As I got older, the table became my responsibility as it still is to this day. Now, we’ve always loved decorating using the traditional reds and greens and golds – everytime we thought we’d try something different we’d start pulling our favourite decorations out of the Christmas suitcase and fall in love with the classic colours all over again! Last year we finally stepped out of our jolly, red, comfort zone and opted for a blue and silver Christmas instead.
Although we’re still a little while away from the most wonderful time of the year, I stumbled upon these photos and decided to share them with you in the hope that they might inspire you to try something a tad different this year. Last year I learnt that different doesn’t mean it’s wrong or any less special, different can be quite lovely in it’s own magical way.
